One of the biggest challenges facing us when we started to take care of the grave was the missing letter, ‘M’ in Mackintosh. It was such a key letter and had to be returned. Throughout the project we kept coming back to this problem and having worked out that the lettering was made of lead decided to source a sheet of lead and replace the missing ‘M’ ourselves.
Since then there are plans to have the stone professionally renovated which will bring the grave back to its former glory.
